Welcome to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering! We have a host of virtual events lined up to help orient you to your major, help you get involved in student orgs and find resources to help you be successful at ASU.

Attend your school assembly

At your School Assembly, you’ll meet first-year students, faculty and staff in your major. Get to know other students who will be in your classes, learn about the exciting research opportunities in your major and make connections with the faculty and advisors in your school. Attendance at assemblies is required for all first-year students.

The School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering school assembly is on Friday, August 14, 2020.

The School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering, the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering, the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy and The Polytechnic School assemblies are on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

For engineering students, getting involved in student organizations is a must. With more than 60 student organizations and teams on campus in the Fulton Schools, you have more than 60 ways connect with your peers!

There’s something out there for you, whether it’s an honor or professional society, diversity organization, service or major-specific group or a competitive team.

The Engineering Projects in Community Service, program, known as EPICS, is a national award-winning social entrepreneurship program. Teams design, build and deploy systems to solve engineering-based problems for charities, schools and other not-for-profit organizations. Our students aren’t waiting to graduate to make a difference — they are tackling real-world problems today. Enroll in FSE 404 to work on a project and make a difference.

 

Additional sessions will be held about undergraduate teaching assistants, scholarships, Devils Invent weekend engineering and design challenges and Entrepreneurship + Innovation at the Fulton Schools. Information about these sessions will be added when it becomes available.

Are you interested in sharing your passion for engineering with prospective students and their families? Fulton Ambassadors are spirited leaders whose mission is to develop a unified body of diverse students committed to community involvement and outreach.

This is accomplished through tours, shadow days and various special events throughout the year. We will have two breakout sessions, one for our Tempe campus chapter, and one for our Polytechnic campus chapter.
