First-year through grad online students: Don’t have time to do a full-time internship? You can work remotely from home, library or coffee shop through a U.S. Virtual Student Foreign Service internship.

The U.S. Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) is an eight-month remote internship program for U.S. citizen students who would like to make a real difference in the work of the U.S. government.

Projects range from a variety of topics, including analysis, app development, graphic design, management and more. There is something for everyone, and VSFS needs students from every major and background.

Details:

  • Must be U.S. citizen
  • Commit to 10 hours a week from September through May
  • Unpaid internship with great experience
  • 500+ projects with 33 federal agencies
  • Student status – full-time or part-time degree or certificate program, and taking classes online or in person
