If you need career assistance, you can schedule an appointment with the Fulton Schools Career Center via Handshake. Do you need assistance scheduling your appointment? Here are step by step instructions to make it easier.

1. Log into Handshake

2. Career Center

Select the “Appointments” option.

3. Schedule a New Appointment

Select tab.

4. Choose a Category

Select “Fulton Schools of Engineering-Students & Alumni” option.

5. Choose an Appointment Type

The appointment types are based on your needs (e.g., résumé review, interview practice, evaluating job offer/salary negotiation, job/internship search, networking/informational interviews, majors and careers, etc.). Select the appropriate appointment type.

6. Staff Member

You have the option of selecting “No Preference” or from a list of staff members and peer coaches. Peer coaches are students currently enrolled in the Fulton Schools and formally trained to perform the service listed. The peer coach is either “Peer – Eng UG” (undergraduate) or “Peer – Eng GR” (graduate).

7. Appointment Medium

As an online student, your best option will probably be “Phone” or “Virtual – Skype.”

8. Week of Sunday, (date)

Handshake displays appointments for a given week from Sunday to Saturday. Select the appropriate week.

9. Appointments Available

Select the date and time, complete appointment information and select “Request.”

After you schedule an appointment, you will receive several emails from Handshake:

  • Appointment has been approved or declined
  • 24 hours in advance of appointment date and time
  • 1 hour prior to appointment date and time

In addition, any time an appointment status has been modified you will receive an email. If you have to cancel an appointment, please do so as soon as possible.
