Last month I wrote a blog about the importance of networking as an aspect of developing your professional connections. The easiest and best way to make connections is attending networking events where you have something in common with the other attendees such as career interests, industry, etc. The challenging task is where to go to find the event that’s right for you.
The Fulton Schools Career Center staff has made this process a little easier for you. We’ve identified the top five online majors and the top states where students live and developed a list of networking events and their corresponding websites for quick access.
The majors include information technology, electrical engineering, software engineering, graphic information technology and engineering management. The states are Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. You can find this information on our website under Networking and LinkedIn/Professional Organizations, or Resources and FAQ/Professional Organizations.
