Join the Fulton Schools of Engineering Diversity and Inclusion program in celebrating Women’s HERstory month! The WomYn EmPOWERment Series aims to provide opportunities in creating culturally intelligent students, faculty and staff in topics related to females in the engineering field as well as supporting women as allies in engineering.
The “De-coding the Technical World” will be presented by Jessica Egoyibo Mong, software engineer, at SurveyMonkey. Jessica is a fullstack developer on the Billing team at SurveyMonkey. This is unique because Egoyibo means “Foreign money” and the Billing team is where the money comes through. Jessica is from Nigeria and received a B.S from Claflin University in South Carolina in 2014. She is a 2014 White House Initiative on HBCUs All-Star, and an alumna of CODE2040 and Hackbright Academy. Follow her on twitter on @JEMificent.
Jessica will tell her story of her journey through the technical world and how she has been able to find success along the way. Through this motivational talk, Jessica will give advice on how to not only stay motivated but to thrive in school and in the workplace.
